Ericsson Agency has recently been formed within Ericsson’s Service Delivery & Operations  organization to strengthen our global capability to source resources for high growth markets, drive cost effectiveness and improve service delivery excellence when using contractors. In line with the initiative, we are now looking for SENIOR contract based 2G Radio Network Performance Improvement Consultants willing to be engaged on multiple short term contracts (performance and demand dependent) within our high growth market areas.

Radio Network Performance Improvement Consultants (Contract Based)

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of a Senior 2G Radio Network Performance Improvement Consultant you will work with design and optimization of both new and existing networks with a key focus on Network Performance Improvement Services. This could include but not be limited to:

•    Acquisition of network data and information.
•    Network Planning, Design, Tuning and Optimization including investigating Network Performance and recommending performance improvements.
•    Network and/or Node reviews and audits.
•    Analyze the customers’ existing systems, needs and requirements.
•    Identify new business opportunities.
•    Technical support to sales, marketing, project managers and the customer.
•    Give presentations and participate in customer discussions at a senior level (C level)
•    Participate in customer projects, including scope, risk, changes and customer expectations.
•    Exploiting new original ways of working, performance and results oriented.
•    Knowledge Sharing, On Job Training (OJT) and mentoring of the local delivery workforce to build local competence.

Essential Experience:

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering or IT/Computer Science (Telecommunication, Electrical, etc) or the equivalent theoretical background acquired through experience and/or in any other way.

•    At least 7 years experience in consulting (in telecom), within Ericsson, telecom vendors, and/or telecom operator environment experience in relevant positions.
•    Excellent operational and technical knowledge of telecoms in an evolving market.
•    Excellent consultative, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
•    A problem solver with excellent skill in risk analysis.
•    Customer and business orientated with commercial awareness.
•    Ability to work in challenging working environments (geographical, climate, social).
•    Motivational leadership with the ability to adopt style as situation demands.
•    Excellent organizational skills.
•    Excellent level of English.

Desirable Experience:

•    Previous experience working for Ericsson in a similar role.
•    Knowledge of Ericsson processes and tools

Job Locations:

•    Vacancies throughout the world but in particular within Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Availability:

Successful applicants would be expected to be available to take up a position within the next three months. Please note that engagement as a Contractor in no way constitutes an employment agreement with Ericsson.  Rather, as a Contractor under the Ericsson Agency umbrella, you would be given priority placement over free lance contractors to prime, short term roles within Ericsson’s service delivery.  In return, Ericsson Agency will be proactively looking at subsequent assignments and your competence development.  Contract periods would typically be 2-9 months duration (subject to availability and appropriate work permits being issued).  Interested candidates MUST apply online via Ericsson Career website.
