SECURITY ANALYST

Overview:

Will assist with the development of information security policies; ensures that policies are applied and maintained for all computer network components including: routers, remote access, firewalls, content filtering, web servers and servers running operating systems.

Job Qualifications:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge of computer network security practices, designs, tests, and processes
• Knowledge of router, switch, firewall, and software protocols
• Ability to provide logical and precise analysis of the ff: log monitoring findings for firewall, evaluation of security plans and procedures, OS, database, etc.

Job Description:

• Assist security specialists in the conduct of POCs, research, test scripts, etc.
• Comprehensive data gathering and preparation of required documents for reference (e.g. daily statistics from security tools and possible security risks)
• Monitor and manage daily virus infections and/or outbreak (e.g. clean, test, patch review and application, etc)
• Formulate recommendations based on monitoring and findings to further improve security processes/procedures
• Confirmation of access privileges
