FactSet: Software Engineer / Application Developer

FactSet is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to specialize in desktop application development. Although experience in Visual FoxPro is preferred, FactSet is willing to train. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining our financial data research applications. Work will include the design and development of SQL Server tables/database as well as Visual FoxPro application interface forms, and reports. The engineer must have experience in using SQL Server as the back-end server for the database. This engineering group will transition to C#.net within the next few years, so .net experience is a plus.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Experience with some object oriented programming languages (Visual FoxPro Developer preferred)
- Experience building GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces)
- SQL Server/Transact SQL
- Work as part of a close-knit, agile development team
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Willing to serve as an on-call engineer.
Desired:
- C#.net experience desired but not required
- VFP experience is desired by not required
