Design Manager (Dubai)

Our client based in Dubai is in need of Design Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Should be able to finalize structural schemes for all tender and details design activities;
•    Should be able to solve any drafting/detailing problem during preparation of structural scheme and shop drawings;
•    Should monitor timely preparation of drawings and bill of materials;
•    Should take part in technical discussions with Main Contractor, Client and Structural Consultants in specific cases and should try to impress upon client in order to achieve company interest;
•    Be able to coordinate with Contract Manager, Project Managers, Planning and Workshop Manager for proper execution of projects;
•    Knowledgeable of design software especially STAD PRO and ISO900 / ISO 9001;
•    Must have adequate knowledge of structural steel design and detailing odes viz relevant British and American Codes.

Job Requirements:

•    Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Structural Engineer;
•    Must have 10 years work experience as Structural Engineer;
