Control Room Technician (Pakistan)

Our client who is based in Pakistan is in need of Civil Maintenance Supervisor:

Educational Attainment:

•    Completed Secondary High School Education and have acquired formal technical training in Instrumentation Trade from a recognize apprenticeship, or equivalent.

Experience:

•    Minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance, testing and troubleshooting techniques of a variety of Control Systems, in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical Industries

Mandatory Skills/ Roles & Responsibilities:

•    Excellent in English communication
•    The qualified candidate must be fluent in English and good in written English.
•    Familiar with the fundamentals of Distributed Control System (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Safety Shutdown Systems, Personal Computers and other microprocessor based systems.
•    Ability to read P & ID?s and be familiar with Functional Logic Diagram, Ladder Logic Schematics, Loop Schematics.

The qualified candidate is responsible of the ff:

•    Maintains all Control Systems viz. DCS, Safety Shutdown Systems, PLCs, PI System, Metering Systems etc. at a high degree of operational availability.
•    Under the direction of the Control System Engineer, receives Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance Routines, and Safety Permits, Material and appropriate engineering drawings and carries-out assignments.
•    Under the direction of the Control System Engineer, carries out in a safe manner, troubleshooting, Installation or replacement of Control System Components or Modules.
•    Actively assists Control System Engineers in pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and shutdown activities.
•    Assists Control System Engineers in minor modifications.
